A two-player Christian board game portraying the contest between God’s kingdom and Satan’s kingdom for human souls.

Concept & purpose

Designed with a reason to play.

Kingdoms Challenge places two players in distinct kingdom arenas. One represents God’s kingdom and the other the opposing kingdom as both seek to draw seeds, representing human souls, towards their final destinations. The manual explicitly cautions that the role is symbolic and must never stigmatise a player.

The need behind the game

The game’s two-sided structure explores evangelism, rescue, temptation, backsliding and the spiritual responsibility to seek the lost.

Biblical learning purpose

Invite reflection on God’s kingdom, holiness, salvation, spiritual conflict and the call to rescue people from destruction.

How the experience works

Gameplay at a glance.

Exactly two players use two dice and four sets of coloured seeds. God’s kingdom begins a seed with a six plus another number; the opposing kingdom begins with doubles from one to five. Players move, crown, recall or dislodge seeds within the arenas. Double six moves a single or double-crowned seed to heaven or hell; a triple-crowned group requires double six twice. The player who brings the most seeds into the represented kingdom wins.
